Qatar Airways Hajj Amenity Kit by Kaelis Recognized at WTCE for Enhancing Onboard Wellbeing

A Hajj-specific amenity kit developed by Kaelis for Qatar Airways has been recognized at two leading industry award platforms during this year’s WTCE, reflecting a shared commitment to passenger care, cultural sensitivity and meaningful onboard experiences.

The kit received Best Wellness Kit at the TravelPlus Awards and was also Highly Commended for Onboard Wellbeing at the OBH Magazine Awards — two acknowledgments that underscore the importance of thoughtful, purpose-driven design in inflight service.

Created to support passengers on one of the most spiritually significant journeys of their lives, the Hajj Amenity Kit was designed with both comfort and respect in mind. It includes a prayer mat, prayer beads, a tally counter and a small drawstring pouch for personal items, along with anti-slip socks and wet wipes for added hygiene and ease during travel. All items are neatly packed in a reusable black one-strap backpack — practical, discreet and easy to carry.

This kit was more than a collection of travel items; it was created as a companion to a deeply personal journey, aiming to meet both physical and inner needs throughout the flight. The recognition from both OBH and TravelPlus highlights the impact that tailored, intentional products can have when designed in collaboration with airline partners who understand the significance of the moment.
